TOLANTOGO POOLS – HIDALGO MEXICO

Tolantongo pools is a famous hot spring resort.

It is located in the State of Hidalgo, which is approximately 3 to 4 hours northeast of Mexico City. The holiday resort consists of heated tolantongo pools close to the bottom of a steep box canyon and three hotel complexes. Located at the closed end of the canyon are two grottos, which draw in a large number of tourists annually.

This resort boasts of a volcanically-heated water, which cascades down in waterfalls along the walls of the canyon that may reach a height of 500 meters in some spots.
