Our Business Analyst positions are the key to delivering services-based solutions that enable our clients to accurately capture, manage, generate and optimize revenue, strengthen customer relationships and exploit emerging opportunities in highly complex, transformational market environments.

Primary Responsibilities

This position supports a large transformation programme and will focus primarily on the Billling activities of the programme. The Business Analyst will work closely with the migration Architect. The Business Analyst will be the first level of escalation for all queries and requires sound problem solving and time management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the specification of migration mapping and transformation rules.

1. Functions as a liaison between the client, third-party vendors, and multi-disciplinary teams to support the client’s request

 

2. Take primary ownership of the programmes Billing process strategy.

3. Lead project discovery sessions with the client stakeholders and subject matter experts as a means to illicit solution requirements, both business and functional

4. Take primary ownership for written requirements specifications (Business and Functional), from initial creation, through change management and solution delivery

5. Synthesize complex and sometimes contradictory information into concise, readable, unambiguous written requirements at multiple levels of detail

6. Assists in the business process tracking, communicating and documenting critical requirements, details and issues/resolutions.

7. Perform key activities related to a data conversion process, such as data transfer specification, data processing parameters, test output review,       balancing, training, documentation and profile maintenance.

8. Develops solutions requiring analysis and research. Responsible for critical work and/or complex projects

9. Work closely with the development and application teams to define and execute a test plan, which will include internal and User Acceptance Testing

10. Lead the delivery of the project into production by designing and supporting the formal client acceptance process, according to the clients defined standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

1. Telco / BSS knowledge.

2. Qualified individuals possess the attributes of being smart, curious, committed to vision, passionate, fun/pleasant, an achiever and having a sense of urgency.

3. Bachelors Degree. Technology, science, and math backgrounds preferred but not required.

4. 5+ years experience with writing detailed requirement specifications for Telco Billing Systems and Billing Processes

5. 7+ years experience working with IT methodologies [e.g. Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or Waterfall]

6. Proven track record in successfully execution and delivery of data migration projects, including data mining and analysis.

7. Fundamental understanding of relational database design concepts [e.g. table design, table relationships (e.g. one-to-one, one-to-many), primary and foreign key designations, etc.]

8. Ability to lead and coordinate people and activities (especially amongst other BSAs) throughout a full solution lifecycle

9. Client management, expectation setting, and communication as it relates to the PM and BSA function

10. Ability to arrive at creative solutions that are not readily apparent and to turn unclear facts into logical patterns and concepts

11. Ability to mentor and/or manage less senior resources within the capability

12. Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

13. Ability to presents information effectively.

14. Solid working knowledge of telephony definitions, industry terms and technologies.

15. Ideal skills include: Ability to travel and work non-standard hours as required.

16. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines and handle multiple projects.
