COMPLETION OF THE DREDGING WORKS AT ESCRAVOS AND WARRI RIVER.

President Muhammadu Buhari plans to complete more ongoing projects to impact positively on the lives of the people.

The Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Ikenwoli on Wednesday at the State House in Abuja thanked President Muhammadu Buhari; for the completion of the dredging works at Escravos and Warri Rivers. While thanking Mr President; he also pleaded for his involvement in the ongoing ecological crisis as well as the issues with the Ogidigben Gas Revolution Park. Finally in his statement, he urged the president to do everything possible to resolve the current security crisis in the country; saying it will also enhance the economy as well as the living standard of the people.

The president’s spokesperson assured His Majesty that the current administration is aware of the benefits of infrastructural development to the standard of living.  He also added that the president is working towards neutralizing the current security crisis in the country.

After a closed door meeting with the president, the traditional ruler speaking to the State House correspondents said:

“The riverine areas are peaceful now and we are thankful for that. The government should create jobs for our youths. Each time I have the opportunity of meeting the President or the Vice President, I have always brought to their notice the two Ports in my kingdom Warri Port and Oku Port, which are both there under-utilised while Lagos Port is overstretched.”
