FIBERTEX AND SPECIFYING TECHNIQUES HOST CPD SEMINAR IN BOTSWANA

Fibertex South Africa and Specifying Techniques, in conjunction with The Architects Association of Botswana (AAB) hosted a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) seminar in Gaborone recently.

 

“This forum – which was the first of its kind hosted by the newly formed AAB – forms part of the association’s accredited CPD programme, which is designed to improve and broaden knowledge and skills of its professional members,” says Philip van Greunen, Marketing Director, Specifying Techniques. “Through the CPD programme, the AAB strives to ensure that members remain at the forefront of construction methods and materials.

 

“This seminar, which focused on geosynthetics in construction applications, was well received by the 35 architects who attended the event.”

 

The Fibertex presentation covered the application of geosynthetic materials used efficiently in roof top gardens, subsoil drainage in basements and retaining walls, french-drains, soak pits and pond liners – all relevant topics for architects.

 

Fibertex and Specifying Techniques plan to host an advanced CPD training event for civil and structural consulting engineers in Botswana, during the first quarter of 2020.
