WHY WAS THE PROJECT ABANDON?

During the news conference, Agyeman-Manu said the project has been facing challenges due to funding as the ministry of health were not in charge. Agyeman-Manu said “The Kasoa and Ofankor projects were not started by the ministry. They were packaged as part of the road project.”

According to him,  there wasn’t much collaboration between both ministries which made the project to be abandon. But some technical personnel from the ministry of Health where sent to ascertain the situation.

Meanwhile, problem facing the project also emerge during the construction process. From the reports, Kasoa Polyclinic had ownership challenges between the district assembly and the Ministry of Roads. While, the Ofankor polyclinic had not been completed.

Agyeman-Manu said the Ministry of Health had no budgetary allocation but are engaging and working to see how to raise monies to complete the projects.
