PRESIDENT HAGE LAUNCHES PEUGEOT OPEL ASSEMBLY NAMIBIA
President Hage G. Geingob launches Peugeot Opel Assembly Namibia. The assembly plant is sited in Walvis Bay, and operates as a joint-venture between Groupe PSA and Namibia Development Corporation. It is another bold step in President Hage’s industrialisation drive. This investment of over N$ 190 million, will have an annual production of 5000 cars and create 50 jobs. Thereby, ensuring that Namibia attains its ambitious plan of becoming a gateway to Southern Africa.
